Baramulla, Aug 08: (Boniyar) – in the hour of need, an army unit in Boniyar Tehsil, Baramulla district, displayed swift and effective action by successfully evacuating a villager bitten by a venomous snake. On Tuesday, Haneef Khalas, a 25-year-old resident of Sumali village, fell victim to a snakebite while working in the fields.
Responding promptly, the army unit Quick Reaction Team with stretchers and medical equipments took Mr. Khalas to the Nala post for immediate medical attention. A medical team quickly attended to him, administering necessary first aid. The army then initiated a well-coordinated rescue operation utilizing a custom stretcher to move him to the nearby hospital.
Overcoming challenging terrain, the army continued its mission with precision as a light vehicle took over, ensuring a seamless and secure evacuation process. At the PHC Buniyar, Dr. Gulam Hussain supervised further medical treatment for Mr. Khalas.
