Srinagar, 05 Nov: Tarun Chugh, National General Secretary and incharge J&K of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), today expressed deep shock and sorrow over the untimely demise of veteran journalist and Bureau Chief of The Week, Tariq Ahmad Bhat.
In his message, Chugh paid rich tributes to the journalistic career of Tariq Bhat, calling it a major loss to the media fraternity.
Chugh extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends, and colleagues at The Week. “We pray to the Almighty to grant the departed soul eternal peace and provide strength and fortitude to the family members to bear this irreparable loss.
BJP Spokesperson Manzoor Bhat condoled the passing away of Tariq Ahmad Bhat Sahib, describing him as a dedicated professional, humble, kind and widely respected personality. Having worked with him during his journalistic days, Manzoor Bhat said, I had the privilege of learning from him, and his knowledge and expertise in journalism were truly remarkable. His demise is a huge loss to both the political and media fraternities, and I feel deeply saddened by his passing.
