Srinagar: The month of Rabi al-Awwal continues to witness religious gatherings dedicated to the blessed Seerah of the Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa ﷺ, being held with deep reverence and devotion. In this context, a series of Seerah gatherings are being organised across the length and breadth of the Valley under the leadership of Karwani Islami International, where religious scholars are highlighting the noble attributes, exemplary character and teachings of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. Speaking on the occasion of Friday prayers at Lolipora, Hampora, Chadoora Budgam, Chief of Karwani Islami International, Allama Dr. Ghulam Rasool Hami, said that the Seerah and teachings of the Holy Prophet ﷺ contain profound guidance and solutions to the challenges of both this world and the Hereafter for those endowed with wisdom and insight. He emphasised that putting the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ into practice is indispensable for addressing the moral and social deterioration prevalent in contemporary society. Highlighting the significance of Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ, Allama Hami said that the advent and Prophetic mission of Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ is the greatest and most exalted blessing bestowed upon the universe, and that no amount of celebration in gratitude for this incomparable blessing can ever be considered excessive. He said that with the arrival of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the entire universe received the enduring light of divine guidance, which is essential for the welfare, prosperity and ultimate success of humanity in this world and the Hereafter. Allama Hami further said that the boundless and unparalleled knowledge and teachings presented by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ are not confined to any particular group, community or faction; rather, the entire creation, from beginning to end, remains in need of these universal teachings. He maintained that the solutions to humanity’s fundamental challenges are embedded within the principles and guidance conveyed by the Holy Prophet ﷺ. He stressed that the wisdom and moral values derived from the Seerah of the Prophet ﷺ serve as an eternal beacon illuminating the path of righteousness for every person endowed with reason and understanding. Their practical implementation, he said, is essential for overcoming ignorance, moral decline and social waywardness. Speaking about the need to curb drug abuse, Allama Hami said that the complete eradication of narcotics is essential for the intellectual advancement and higher development of society. He observed that no society overwhelmed by drug addiction can truly reach the heights of progress, prosperity and collective well-being, because sound social existence requires intellectual and moral elevation, while drugs pose a serious threat to both. Allama Hami emphasised that the blessed days of Rabi al-Awwal and the celebrations of Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ provide a valuable opportunity to reconnect with the authentic teachings of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He called upon people to make a firm commitment to distance themselves from every form of social evil in the light of Prophetic teachings and to play a meaningful and constructive role in building a responsible, progressive and successful society.
