Bandipora, July 17: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party Vice President and former Minister Usman Majid on Thursday urged the government to ensure proper arrangements in view of Muharram-ul-Haram.
In a statement issued to press, Majid said the administration should put in place all the requisite arrangements and ensure the mourners are not subjected to any kind of inconvenience across Jammu and Kashmir. “Majid calls upon the divisional administrations of Jammu and Kashmir divisions to take a holistic review of the preparations in the Shia dominated localities for the smooth observance of this holy month,” he demanded.
He also urged for making proper LED lighting arrangements in and around various Imambaras of the district.He has asked the officers of various departments should conduct a thorough visit to about all the shia dominated areas of Jammu and Kashmir to make necessary arrangements on the eve of Muharam-ul-Haram. Majid also urged for making adequate medical facilities including first aid camps and additional Ambulance services in all the Shia dominated areas, he said.
