214 vehicles challaned, Rs 30500 fine imposed through E- Challan, Six Vehicles Seized.

Jammu: During two days Special Drive against traffic violations, Traffic Police NHW, Udhampur challaned 214 vehicles and imposed a fine amounting Rs 30500 through E challan System in TSD Udhampur/Reasi.
The enforcement was carried out by special teams teams led by DTI Udhampur Insp Vinay Gupta and DTI Reasi Insp Navneet Verma under the direction and supervision of senior officers of the traffic Police.

Multiple nakas points were established across different locations in TSD Udhampur as part of Special checking Drive .
During the special drive, more than 300 vehicles were checked, out of which 214 vehicles were challaned for different traffic violations under MV Act.
Six vehicles were seized on spot for plying without documents/Driving Licence.
Dysp Traffic Udhampur said that during special drive 50 challans issued for plying without crash helmet and 13 for tripple riding and two without Valid driving licence and 28 for Overloading among others.
He further appealed to the general public, parents and specially College going students to wear crash helmets and follow traffic rules.
He further emphasised that these type of special drive shall continue in future to ensure strict compliance of traffic rules and to ensure safety of other road users.
