Divisional, district administrations observe the Day

JAMMU/ SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 31: To commemorate National Unity day, pledge taking ceremony was held in the Civil Secretariat, Jammu wherein Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Home, R K Goyal, administered the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge to Administrative Secretaries besides officers and officials. The employees of Civil Secretariat Srinagar participated in the pledge taking ceremony virtually.

Similarly, pledge taking ceremonies were held in the offices of Divisional Commissioners of Jammu and Kashmir besides all Deputy Commissioners.
Pertinently, 31st of October is observed as the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas across the country, not only to mark the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna ‘Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’, the architect of National Integration of Independent India, but also to reaffirm commitment of citizens of India towards upholding the security, unity and integrity of the country.
