The sporting events were conducted under the expert supervision of Syed Masrat Hussain Indrabi (Ex-ZEPO) and M.A Bhat (Coordinator Sports, Zone Pampore), whose mentorship ensured a smooth and spirited competition across various disciplines.
In addition to the sports activities, a plantation drive was simultaneously conducted, highlighting the community’s commitment to environmental preservation. Participants were honored with medals and provided with refreshments, making the day both rewarding and memorable.
The successful festival stands as a testament to the community’s enduring respect for Asadullah Wani’s legacy and their collective effort to instill the values of sportsmanship and environmental stewardship in the younger generation.
Speaking to Morning Kashmir, M.A. Bhat Coordinator Sports Zone Pampore said that today in Khrew Pampore, a sports festival was organized as a tribute, with Urfan Ahmad Wani serving as the organizer. We express our gratitude to him. Almost 100 students participated in the festival, coming from different schools across Khrew town and taking part in various games.
In today’s society, where drug abuse is spreading rapidly, we taught the children how to stay away from drugs, how to reduce screen time, how to limit mobile phone usage, and how to remain happy and healthy. Through this event, we aimed to teach the children how to develop physically, mentally, and socially.
We had the support of different masters and trainers, especially Masrat Hussain Andrabi, who conducted various activities and cultural programs for the children. Many games were organized, and the programme turned out to be very successful. Such events should continue in the future to help keep our children mentally fit and healthy.
