Baramulla Police Recover 53 Stolen Copper Utensils; Two Arrested in Chandoosa Theft Case

Baramulla | August 15, 2026: Baramulla Police have solved a house theft case in Chandoosa with the arrest of two accused persons and recovery of 53 stolen copper utensils.
On August 9, 2026, Police Station Chandoosa received a complaint regarding theft of copper utensils from a house at Nilsar. During investigation, accused Isaaq Aziz Khan S/o Abdul Aziz Khan, R/o Nilsar, was questioned and disclosed his involvement in the theft.

On his disclosure, the stolen property was recovered from concealed land at Nilsar in the presence of the Executive Magistrate 1st Class, Wagoora and independent witnesses. The recovered property includes 53 copper items, comprising Tash, Near, Samavar, Kenz, bowls, Sarposh, Traami and pots.
Further investigation revealed the involvement of another accused, Syed Aqib Shah S/o Mohammad Amin Shah, R/o Takiya Yousuf Shah, who was also arrested.
Both accused have been arrested, while further investigation is underway.
Baramulla Police reiterate their commitment to safeguarding the property and safety of citizens and assure that every effort is being made to ensure prompt investigation and strict action against those involved in criminal activities.
