BARAMULLA POLICE SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDES CRICKET TOURNAMENT FINALE AT SHOWKET ALI STADIUM; REITERATES COMMITMENT TO DRUG-FREE SOCIETY

Baramulla | 28 April 2026: In continuation of its sustained efforts to promote youth engagement and a drug-free society, Baramulla Police successfully concluded the grand finale of the Girls Cricket Tournament at Showket Ali Stadium under the Civic Action Programme and the banner of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.

The final match was played between Kashmir Knights and Royal Stars, witnessing high enthusiasm and competitive spirit. Kashmir Knights emerged victorious in the thrilling finale, which drew a large gathering of spectators.

The event was graced by the Worthy Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla as the Chief Guest, who encouraged both teams and felicitated the players with cash prizes and trophies. Addressing the gathering, he appreciated the players for their commendable performance and emphasised the importance of sports in shaping disciplined and confident youth. He highlighted that Baramulla Police has been consistently organising tournaments across various sports disciplines under the initiative, with a special focus on promoting girls’ participation. He further assured that more such events will be conducted in the future to encourage and empower young girls.
