BJP Pays Glowing Tribute to Lethpora Martyrs on 7th Anniversary

LETHPORA, February 14: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday paid a grand tribute to the 40 brave CRPF soldiers who were martyred in the February 14, 2019 terrorist attack at Lethpora area in Pulwama district.

On the occasion, BJP leaders and wokers led by party spokesperson Altaf Thakur offered floral tributes at the site of the attack, raised slogans in honour of the martyrs, and observed a two-minute silence to pay their respects and express solidarity with the bereaved families.

Tourists from various states of the country also participated in the ceremony, remembering the supreme sacrifices of the fallen Jawans and paying heartfelt homage to them.

It is note worthy that on February 14, 2019, a terrorist rammed an IED-laden vehicle into a bus carrying personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), triggering a massive explosion that claimed the lives of 40 CRPF personnel.

Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Altaf Thakur said that since the martyrdom of 40 brave personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in the February 14 2019 attack, India has adopted a tough and decisive approach against terrorism.
He stated that terrorists are being targeted and eliminated one by one, and expressed confidence that the year 2026 would mark the final phase in India’s fight to completely eradicate terrorism.
He further said after the Lethpora attack, India delivered a strong and decisive response by carrying out counter-terror operations, including surgical strikes inside Pakistan, to teach those behind terrorism a firm lesson — a blow whose impact is still felt across the Pakistan.
