The lingering compassionate appointments under SRO-43 in various departments including J&K Police in Jammu and Kashmir is a matter of concern and should be resolved. There are reports that hundreds of SRO-43 cases have been pending for more than a couple of years, and the aspirants are suffering due to the long delay in the disposal of their applications. This is concerning that numerous SRO-43 cases in various departments have been languishing, awaiting the issuance of the government order for compensatory appointments. The applicants are suffering as their cases remain unprocessed, leaving them in uncertainty regarding the fate of their applications. Unfortunately, several candidates have crossed the age limit and are suffering financial problems, while many are facing financial constraints. As such, the administration must promptly undertake the necessary initiatives to expedite the processing of these cases, thereby enabling the aspirants to rightfully obtain their entitlements. The administration led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha must look into the matter and ensure swift disposal of pending SRO-43 cases so that the concerned individuals and their families do not suffer any further. We hope the issue gets resolved soon so that the eligible beneficiaries will heave a sigh of relief.
