Baramulla, Nov 04 : In a noble effort to promote constructive activities and nurture young cricketing talent, the Gen Bipin Rawat Memorial Cricket Tournament was held in the scenic Baramulla District, under the auspices of the Dagger Division, Himalayan Brigade, Baramulla Rashtriya Rifles.
The T20 format cricket championship, which unfolded from October 15th to November 4th, 2023, showcased the vibrant enthusiasm of the region’s youth.
In a riveting showdown at the revered Jhelum Stadium, the “Sultan Warriors” emerged as the champions, leaving an unforgettable impression with a commanding victory by a margin of seven runs.
The Chief Guest, Lt. Gen. Rajiv Ghai, AVSM, SM***, GOC Chinar Corps, presided over the occasion, graciously honoring the triumphant teams and individuals with various accolades.
In his closing remarks, the Chief Guest passionately encouraged all participants to seize the golden opportunities presented to them and make the most of the sporting events organized by the venerable Indian Army.
