HC Judge visits Budgam, orders early disposal of civil, criminal cases

Srinagar, Nov 4: Judge High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Justice Sindhu Sharma, on Saturday directed all the judicial officers in Budgam district for early disposal of both civil and criminal cases.

Justice Sharma, accompanied by Registrar General, Shahzad Azeem, was received by Principal District & Sessions Judge, Budgam Khalil Ahmed Choudhary
“Her ladyship interacted with the judicial officers posted at District head quarter, Budgam and gave patient hearing to all judicial officers viz-a-viz infrastructure and other issues faced by them in their respective courts,” according to a statement, adding, “Her ladyship directed all the judicial officers for early disposal of cases both civil and criminal.”
Justice Sharma instructed the judicial officers that old cases pending for more than 10 years shall be listed twice a month and under trial cases be listed twice in a month.
“Her ladyship ensured that steps will be taken to redress all the grievances at large,” Justice Sharma said, adding, “Her Ladyship assured that all the courts within District Budgam shall be at par with the best courts of the UT based on National Module.”
