Srinagar, Apr 27: In a move to ensure smooth functioning of administrative offices, the government has issued directives to Administrative Secretaries regarding their presence at the Civil Secretariats in Srinagar and Jammu.
According to the order, with effect from May 1, 2024, Administrative Secretaries are required to ensure their availability at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar. However, they will also be required to attend the Civil Secretariat in Jammu as per functional requirements.
Furthermore, the respective Administrative Departments have been directed to determine the availability of staff to ensure efficient conduct of official business at both places, with minimal shifting of personnel.
This move aims to streamline administrative processes and ensure uninterrupted governance by maintaining dual Civil Secretariats in the Union Territory.
