Heena Mahajan’s “Jammu Di Chidi” Creates a Cultural Wave at Junior IDRS School, Talab Tillo & Gole Gujral — Principal Ekta Syal Applauds Unique Animated Dogri Initiative

An inspiring and vibrant showcase of animated Dogri poetry, comics, and cultural storytelling was organised at Junior IDRS School under the visionary initiative of “Jammu Di Chidi.” The event aimed to inculcate love for the Dogri language and Dogra heritage among children through creative animation, comic book series, poems, and rhymes.

The programme was led by Heena Mahajan, founder of “Jammu Di Chidi,” who expressed immense pride and happiness while presenting animated Dogri content before the students. She passionately shared her vision of reconnecting young generations with their roots by introducing entertaining and relatable characters inspired by Dogra tradition and culture.

Principal Junior IDRS Tallab Tillo/Gol Gujral Ekta Syal  congratulated Heena Mahajan for introducing such a unique and innovative concept for the promotion of Dogri language and culture. She appreciated the creative effort of promoting regional heritage through animation and assured full support towards the noble initiative of “Jammu Di Chidi,” while expressing commitment to keeping students connected with this meaningful cultural movement.

Children were introduced to beloved characters and creations such as *Sher Ye Bakri*, *Mr. Babbru*, *Manno Billi*, *Manda Zoo*, *Jammu Di Chidi*, *Akkad Bakkad Bambe Bi*, *Nikke Dogre* and many more. Through animation and storytelling, the students enthusiastically connected with Dogri poetry and enjoyed every moment of the presentation with great excitement and interest.

On the occasion, several books were also added to the school library, including *Jammu Di Chidi*, Dogri poetry books, *Raja Jambu Lochan* and *General Zorawar Singh* comic books, *Mahamaya Temple – The Mystery of Dhara Nagri*, along with engaging summer vacation story books for children.

The event witnessed overwhelming enthusiasm from students, teachers, and staff alike, marking the beginning of a new cultural movement in Jammu where “Jammu Di Chidi” is spreading the magic of Dogri poetry far and wide. With its creative approach, the initiative aims to create a special place for Dogri language in every heart — among children, youth, elders, and generations to come.
