SRINAGAR, NOV 04: After defeating the Rajasthan United Football Club in the inaugural I League match, Real Kashmir Football Club (RKFC) had a 1-0 victory over Tiddim Road Athletic Union FC (TRAU FC) on Saturday at TRC Ground in Srinagar.
Since the beginning of the match both the teams looked aggressive and had chances but could not convert them into goals. However, before halftime, Jeremy Laldinpuia of the RKFC manoeuvred through the opposition, leaving two defenders behind as he engaged in a brilliant passing exchange with Gnohere Krizo. Krizo delivered a perfectly timed pass back to Jeremy, who elegantly curled the ball into the bottom right corner with a first-time strike.
However, in the second half, TRAU showed more determination, but RKFC did not just focus on defending their lead, they also were content to adopt a defensive stance in front of their goal, relying on counterattacks.
RKFC will next take on Churchill Brothers on November 08 at the same venue.
For this season, the club has signed a renowned local coach Ishfaq Ahmad, who has represented the Indian football team for several years. While the majority of players’ part of the RKFC in this season are locals.
