Hajin Bandipora Aug 15: Independence Day function was held at Municipal Committee Hajin where MC Chairman Irshad Ahmad hoisted the national flag and took salute at the march past presented by the contingents of JK Police, JKAP, IRP 21 battalion , JKSPOs, and CRPF 45th Battalion .
Dysp Hajin Rameez Rashid Bhat,SHO Hajin Hussain Mugal ,Deputy Chairman Waseem Parray, ZEO Hajin , Principal Higher Sec.School Hajin, Senior Civil, Police and Army Officers,Govt employees were present on the occasion.
Addressing the function, Irshad Ahmad Wani congratulated the people on Independence Day.
Chairman MC Hajin Irshad Wani on the occasion highlighted the achievements of the town under various sectors besides effective implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes and flagship programmes under, PM KISAN, , PMAY, PMGSY, NABARD projects .
Later, a prize distribution ceremony was organized during which different functionaries viz officers, officials, best performing cultural artists, parade commanders among others were felicitated.
Meanwhile, various colourful cultural programmes were presented which enthralled the audience attending the independence Day celebration.
Meanwhile Govt.ML Higher Secondary School Hajin celebrated 77th independence day with great zeal and zest in the premises of Higher Secondary School Hajin.
Principal Mehboob Ahmad Khan unfurled the national flag and inspected the parade and salute on the occasion.
At Sub Division Sumbal, the main function of Independence Day was celebrated at irrigation Colony Sumbal, where the SDM Sumbal Mohammad Amir Choudhary unfurled the tricolor and inspected the parade and took salute on the occasion.
The parade was presented by the contingents of J&K Police, CRPF, Fire and Emergency Services among other bands.
Later, a prize distribution ceremony was organized during which different functionaries, officers, officials, students ,sports players best performing cultural artists, parade commanders,media personals among others were felicitated.
Meanwhile, various colorful cultural programmes were presented and also special cultural items were presented by the different schools which enthralled the audience.
Similar functions were also organized at MC Sumbal ,Higher Secondary Sumbal, PHE Department where Ab Majeed Lone (Supervisor) with his Staff also Unfurled the National Flag.
