Under its flagship outreach initiative Operation Sadbhavna, the Indian Army today organised a medical camp at chount-Waliwar in the Ganderbal district, reaffirming its commitment to community welfare and public health support in remote regions.
The camp, conducted with the objective of promoting healthcare awareness and extending essential medical services to the local population, witnessed an overwhelming response from residents of chount-Waliwar and adjoining areas. A dedicated team comprising Number of experienced doctors and trained medical attendants provided consultations, conducted basic health check-ups, and distributed free medicines to approximately 289 individuals, including men, women, and children.
The initiative proved particularly beneficial for residents who often face challenges in accessing timely medical care due to geographical and logistical constraints. Patients were attended with care and professionalism, and common ailments were diagnosed and treated on the spot.
Locals expressed sincere appreciation for the Indian Army’s continued efforts in addressing the healthcare needs of the community. Many lauded the initiative as a meaningful step towards bridging gaps in medical accessibility and fostering trust.
