Interaction Programme Held for Families of Terror Victims in Baramulla

Baramulla, March 30: Save Youth Save Future Foundation, in collaboration with the District Administration Baramulla, on Monday organized an interaction programme for families of terror victims, providing them a platform to share their concerns and highlight the challenges they face.
The programme was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Syed Fakhrudin Hamid, and attended by Senior Superintendent of Police Gurinderpal Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Syed Altaf Hussain Musvi, Chairman of the foundation Wajahat Farooq, and several families affected by terrorism from across the district.

During the interaction, participants spoke about the difficulties they continue to encounter, including issues related to rehabilitation, financial assistance, and access to various government welfare schemes. They urged the administration to ensure timely intervention and necessary support to address their grievances.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissionery expressed deep empathy with the affected families and reaffirmed that the administration stands firmly with them during their challenging times. He also acknowledged the support extended by the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor in strengthening outreach and assistance mechanisms for such families.
The DC appreciated the efforts of the Save Youth Save Future Foundation, describing it as a significant initiative working towards the rehabilitation and empowerment of terror victim families.
Deputy Commissioner Syed Fakhrudin Hamid assured that his office remains open and accessible to all affected individuals and reiterated the administration’s commitment to ensuring their welfare, dignity, and inclusion.
He further emphasized that comprehensive support will be extended, including facilitation for enrolment under various government beneficiary schemes, so that affected families can lead dignified and secure lives.
