Over 1100 online services unlock ease of governance
Srinagar Mar 15: Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed a profound Information Technology revolution with the number of online services in government departments increasing from 60 to 1100 over the last five years.
According to government figures, the number of online services has increased from 60 to 1100 over the last five years.
With the development of the e-unnat portal, 1100 services have been developed, and integrated and are available in online mode.
The figures reveal that till date more than 53 lakh applications have been processed. Under e-unnat portal, as all the services have been integrated with e-payment, e-mail, SMS, RAS, UMANG, Digilocker etc, timely alerts, regarding the progress of application being processed, are being sent utilizing SMS and emails, besides eliciting the response and feedback of citizens regarding the ease of availing, uses and quality of services through Rapid Assessment System. The Portal has also been integrated with a multilingual chatbot.
J&K stands as the leading Union Territory with the highest number of services integrated with RAS. The implementation of RAS has revolutionized feedback mechanisms, measuring the quality of e-services, and improving service delivery. The RAS interface triggers /prompts citizens to provide instantaneous feedback after the citizen avails an e-Service of the government, either through SMS or Web Browser. As of now, more than 485 e-services are integrated with RAS, and more than 75 lakh citizens have provided feedback, with over 86% reporting satisfaction, the figures reveal.
Similarly, J&K was the first UT to integrate the auto-appeal feature into the service plus platform, ensuring transparent, citizen-friendly government services. This system is linked to 300 online services. As per performance dashboard total appeals generated 74767.
“The introduction of an in-house ‘Mobile Dost’ app, offering access to 1103 online government services, has empowered citizens to conveniently access government services, emergency helplines, and valuable information on their mobile devices,” the figures reveal.
Besides the Toll-Free Number- 14471, which aims to provide e-services at the doorstep of the common public by paying a minimal fee prescribed by the Govt. Digi Dost – a collaborative initiative of the Information Technology Department and Community Service Centre (CSC) is a revolutionary step by which people can get the services delivered at their doorstep by calling on this toll free number.
J&K was also the first to integrate essential documents like MGNREGA job cards and utility bills with Digilocker, enhancing document sharing and verification. “76 Government services are integrated with Digilocker as on date.”
