The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has issued a notification regarding the winter vacation schedule for district courts across the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
According to Notification issued by Registrar General M.K. Sharma, all District Courts in Kashmir Province, courts in Kishtwar, Doda, and courts at Batote, Gool, Banihal, and Ukhral in Ramban district, as well as Bani in Kathua district of Jammu Division, and all courts in Ladakh, will observe a 15-day winter vacation from 1st January to 15th January 2026 (both days inclusive).
Principal District and Sessions Judges and Chief Judicial Magistrates have been directed to handle urgent criminal matters during this period.
