Kupwara, 22-05-2026,: Continuing its sustained crackdown against drug trafficking and related criminal activities, Kupwara Police today attached 02 Residential Houses belonging to Zaheer Ahmad Tunch S/O Alim Din Tunch R/O Amroohie Karnah and Bashir Ahmad Tunch S/O Suliman Tunch R/O Amroohie Karnah under the provisions of the NDPS Act, 1985.
The accused persons are involved in FIR No. 17/2023 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act.During the course of investigation, the said Residential Houses were identified as proceeds derived from illegal drug peddling activities.
Acting on the directions of the competent authority and after completion of all legal formalities, the Residential Houses situated at Amroohie Karnah under Survey Nos. 146 Min and 1361/295 Min were officially attached by Kupwara Police.
The Public notices were also affixed at these sites, informing the General Public that the properties have been attached and that no sale, transfer, lease, or creation of any third-party interest shall be made in respect of the said properties without prior permission from the competent authority.
This action reflects the firm commitment of District Police Kupwara towards eradicating the menace of drugs from society and taking stringent legal action against individuals involved in narcotics trafficking and other unlawful activities.
