Over 550 online services available on one portal
Srinagar Aug 09: Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed a major digital transformation over the years, bringing a huge convenience to the people.
The digital transformation has removed unnecessary hindrances to masses at different levels in Jammu and Kashmir.
One such initiative the government took last year is the launch of e-UNNAT, a government’s portal, which is a one-stop-shop for all digital services by citizens, businesses.
A senior official said this portal is an important step in the digital journey of Jammu and Kashmir by connecting it with the concept of Digital India.
“Jammu and Kashmir is the first Union Territory in India to use and implement its digital services under the government. This is saving both money and time of the citizens of the Union Territory and also bringing transparency in the system,” the official said.
The e-UNNAT was launched on July 14, 2022 by Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir. This portal gives a unique identifier which is accessible to the user while being transparent.
Around 550 services of various departments have been integrated with this portal. These include nursery registration, application for reelers in sericulture, license of fertilizers/pesticides, water connection, domicile certificate, character certificate, marriage certificate, income certificate, legal heir certificate, dependent certificate, property certificate, livelihood scheme and others.
According to official details, at least 300 online services have been linked for feedback.
All government services have been made available in digital format on this portal.
With the help of this single-platform portal of the J&K government, citizens are not needed to visit different portals to get various types of services of different government departments.

Giving details, another official said, if someone has to get various government certificates then they have to click on the option of “Revenue Department”, after which you can get Income Certificate, Character Certificate, Category Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Unemployment Certificate, SC/ST Documents like caste / scheduled tribe tribe certificate etc. can be obtained.
