Sources said that during an extensive two-day gathering of party leaders in New Delhi, the central leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) engaged in in-depth discussions with representatives from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Among the prominent figures present were BJP J&K UT President Ravinder Raina, the party’s General Secretary (Org) for J&K Ashok Kaul, and National Secretary Dr Narinder Singh.
The central theme of the meeting centred on crafting a strategic plan for the imminent Lok Sabha elections, with leaders delving into various facets such as the current political landscape in J&K and the overarching party strategy.
Insiders revealed that the discussions also extended to the potential early Assembly elections in J&K, complying with directives from the Supreme Court. The office bearers’ meeting saw the participation of influential leaders from the central party hierarchy and key Union Ministers.
