Sources said that during an extensive two-day gathering of party leaders in New Delhi, the central leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) engaged in in-depth discussions with representatives from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Among the prominent figures present were BJP J&K UT President Ravinder Raina, the party’s General Secretary (Org) for J&K Ashok Kaul, and National Secretary Dr Narinder Singh.
The central theme of the meeting centred on crafting a strategic plan for the imminent Lok Sabha elections, with leaders delving into various facets such as the current political landscape in J&K and the overarching party strategy.
Insiders revealed that the discussions also extended to the potential early Assembly elections in J&K, complying with directives from the Supreme Court. The office bearers’ meeting saw the participation of influential leaders from the central party hierarchy and key Union Ministers. Notably, Jammu and Kashmir BJP leaders, representing the diverse political fabric of the region, contributed valuable insights on governance, developmental projects, and effective political representation.
