REASI, AUGUST 22: A unique program ‘Nari Shakti Chaupal’ was held today at Panchayat Ghar Aghar Jitto to promote electoral participation and empower women in the electoral process.
Hosted under the supervision of District Election Officer, Vishesh Mahajan, District Nodal Officer SVEEP Sachin Sharma, along with female officers of District Administration, the program witnessed enthusiastic participation from first-time female voters, elders, and Anganwadi Workers.
It began with Nodal Officer SVEEP Sachin Sharma sensitizing the attendees about the significance of their vote in the democratic process. He emphasized the importance of voter participation in the upcoming polling on September 25, 2024, and urged everyone to exercise their right to vote.
CDPO Reasi Suninderjeet Kour, Tehsildar Bhomag Mehak Mahajan, BDO Panthal Mehak Choudhary, ALC Reasi Annie Vaid, highlighted the vital role of women in the electoral process. They stressed that casting votes is not only a right but also a responsibility that strengthens democracy.
The event concluded with the participants taking the SVEEP pledge, reaffirming their commitment to active participation in the upcoming elections.
