Operation Shiva 2026 Indian Army Extends Lifesaving Medical Aid to Pilgrim During Amarnath Yatra

Demonstrating its unwavering commitment under Operation SHIVA 2026, the Indian Army provided prompt medical assistance to a pilgrim who fell ill during the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.Devinder Singh (28), a resident of Ajmer Rajasthan, experienced breathlessness, dizziness, and nausea near Sangam Top, symptoms associated with high-altitude sickness. Army personnel immediately evacuated him on a stretcher through difficult mountainous terrain and shifted him to the nearest Medical Aid Post (MAP).The pilgrim was administered oxygen support and necessary medical treatment, following which his condition stabilized. The swift response of the Indian Army and medical staff ensured his safe recovery.The incident highlights the Indian Army’s dedication to safeguarding pilgrims during the annual yatra 2026, providing both security and humanitarian assistance in the challenging high-altitude environment of the Himalayas.
