Officially enters the Golden Book of Records, establishing a groundbreaking world record for the longest foot-driven vehicle expedition across India
Under ‘Samarth by Hyundai, Hyundai reinforces its pledge toward barrier-free mobility for people with disabilities
August 02, 2026: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), under its ‘Samarth by Hyundai’ initiative, proudly supported international para-athlete Mr. Chandeep Singh in successfully completing an extraordinary 7,000+ km drive from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and back in a specially designed Hyundai CRETA. Demonstrating exceptional courage, endurance and the power of accessible mobility, Mr. Chandeep Singh successfully accomplished this record-setting expedition, earning a coveted place in the Golden Book of Records.
The historic achievement was formally celebrated at a special closing ceremony held in Jammu in the distinguished presence of Chief Guest Shri Ramesh Kumar, IAS, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu; Guest of Honour Shri Vishesh Paul, Transport Commissioner, Jammu & Kashmir; and Guest of Honour Shri Jasmeet Singh, Regional Transport Officer (RTO), Jammu. The ceremony was also attended by senior leadership from Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) and AM Hyundai, commemorating this landmark accomplishment and reaffirming their shared commitment towards inclusive mobility through Samarth by Hyundai.
The specially adapted Hyundai CRETA enabled Mr. Chandeep Singh to undertake one of India’s longest cross-country drives by a para-athlete, traversing diverse terrains and climatic conditions while reinforcing the message that mobility should empower every individual to pursue their aspirations without limitations.
