Baramulla, 14th March 2026: The Range Police Headquarters Baramulla successfully concluded a two-day Range Level Training Programme on Prosecution and Conviction of UAPA and NDPS Cases at the Conference Hall, District Police Lines Baramulla. The programme was organized under the ongoing Capacity Building Initiative of J&K Police, aimed at enhancing the professional competencies of field officers across North Kashmir Range.
The programme was inaugurated by Chief Guest DIG North Kashmir Range, Shri. Maqsood-ul-Zaman (IPS). The Valediction ceremony was attended by Addl. SP District Baramulla and other senior officers and officials from RPHQ Baramulla, reflecting the institutional importance of the initiative.
Participating officers from the ranks of Dy.SsP, Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors representing all districts of North Kashmir Range engaged actively in the programme. Their involvement underscored the relevance of the training, with officers appreciating the practical insights and interactive discussions that enriched their professional knowledge.
Speaking at the conclusion, DIG North Kashmir Range Shri Maqsood-ul-Zaman (IPS) expressed pride in the successful conduct of the programme and emphasized that the true measure of such initiatives lies in their application in the field—whether in preparing case files, presenting evidence in court or ensuring that investigations culminate in convictions. He urged officers to carry forward the learning’s with renewed confidence and commitment.
The programme was hailed as a significant step in strengthening the professional competencies of field officers and reaffirming the commitment of J&K Police towards justice delivery, institutional credibility and public trust.
