In an effort to strengthen the relationship between the Police and the Public, Range Police Headquarters Rajouri organized a Volleyball Tournament at District Police Lines Rajouri under the banner of the Civic Action Programme. The event is witnessing participation from 12 teams across the District of Rajouri.
The tournament was officially inaugurated on February 18, 2025 by Sh.Tejinder Singh-IPS, DIG RP Range Headquarters Rajouri, in the presence of other officers, including Sh.Gaurav Sikarwar-IPS, SSP Rajouri, Sh.Vinay Gadge IPS (Prob.) Sh. Bikram Kumar-JKPS Additional SP Rajouri, Sh. Satish Kumar-JKPS Dy. SP Hqrs. Rajouri, Sh. Akshay Khajuria Dy. SP DAR DPL Rajouri and Sh. Pawar Sharma, Dy. SP S0 to DIG RP Range.
During the inaugural ceremony DIG RP Range Hqrs. Rajouri emphasized the significant role that sports play in building character and promoting physical fitness. He also highlighted the initiative’s purpose to engage the youth in constructive and productive activities and keeping them away from evils like drug abuse.
This tournament represents a step forward in the police’s ongoing efforts to engage with the community and foster a sense of unity and camaraderie between the Police and the citizens they serve.
