Sopore, September 19: As part of its youth outreach initiative under Operation Sadbhavana, the Indian Army organised an educational and motivational visit for 40 students of MSAGS Sopore to the prestigious Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, today.
The group comprised 20 boys and 20 girls, accompanied by two teachers. During the visit, the students were given an opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the ethos, traditions and leadership values associated with the Indian Armed Forces.
The students were introduced to the core values of the Army, including discipline, integrity, courage, teamwork and commitment to the nation. The interaction also provided them insights into military leadership and the Armed Forces as a potential career option.
The visit was aimed at broadening the students’ horizons, encouraging them to pursue excellence and nurturing a spirit of leadership, responsibility and service. The students also undertook local sightseeing in Dehradun, gaining exposure to the city’s rich cultural and educational heritage.
The initiative provided the youngsters with a holistic learning experience beyond the classroom and is expected to leave lasting impressions of discipline, leadership and national service.
Through Operation Sadbhavana, the Army continues to undertake educational, motivational and youth-oriented initiatives across Jammu and Kashmir, providing students with opportunities to interact with institutions and gain exposure to new avenues for personal and professional growth.
