This is to bring to the notice of the general public that I, Editor of Morning Kashmir, a law-abiding citizen of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, humbly submit an unconditional apology to the Child Welfare Committee, Srinagar, regarding an incident that occurred during the recording of a transition at Al-Falah Yateem Trust.
I state that our conduct was neither deliberate nor intentional while recording the transition, which was authorized by the said institution and carried out with the consent of the child. The act was not coupled with any kind of malice or ill intention.
As a reputed media organization, Morning Kashmir has a standard practice of verifying all reports, articles, and videos before publication. However, in this particular case, the report was inadvertently missed during the verification process, as I was not present in the office on that day.
I tender an unconditional apology to the Child Welfare Committee, Srinagar, and express my sincere regret for the wrongful act, which happened unintentionally. I understand that it has caused disruption within the institution, but the transition was intended for the betterment of the ward, with their consent, and not carried out with any malicious intent.
I request that this mistake be considered as unintentional and not a deliberate act of wrongdoing. I assure you that I will take all necessary steps and measures to work as a better citizen and journalist. I will be more mindful of my actions and behavior, and undertake not to repeat such an incident in the future.
Once again, I extend my unconditional apology to the Child Welfare Committee, Srinagar, and Al-Falah Yateem Trust for the unintentional lapse and any inconvenience caused.
