
Srinagar, November 04: The Director General of Police J&K Shri R.R Swain today visited the home of martyr Head Constable Ghulam Mohammd Dar a resident of Wailoo, Kralpora in Baramulla who was martyred in a terror attack to express his condolence and sympathies with the family of the martyr. He later visited Police Station Pattan and reviewed its functioning besides checked the crime records.
Accompanied by ADGP Kashmir Shri Vijay Kumar, DIG North Kashmir Shri Vivek Gupta, and SSP Baramulla Shri Amod Ashok Nagpure, the DGP met the family members of the martyr and expressed his heartfelt condolence on behalf of J&K Police. He expressed his solidarity with the bereaved family and assured all help from the Police department. The DGP assured that whole Police Pariwar is with the martyr’s family and assured them all possible support.
The DGP said that handlers from across the borders are not sending money here to build hospitals, roads and other things but to support terrorism and disturb peace here.
Later in the afternoon the DGP visited Police Station Pattan where he reviewed functioning of the Police station and also checked the details of crime records. While interacting with the jurisdictional Police personnel, the DGP stressed for adopting comprehensive counter measures to tackle terror crime incidents adding that protecting the lives of people is our utmost responsibility. He stressed for augmenting the security in vulnerable places to prevent unfortunate incidents. He directed the officers to further strengthen the communication within the ranks and augment the security grids in their respective areas for the safety and security of the people. The DGP said that all suspicious elements providing any kind of support to terrorist activities should be kept under radar to foil their attempts. Stringent action should be taken against the elements found involved in anti peace activities, DGP directed.
