Says few senseless docs have defamed Kashmir and Kashmiriyat; demands full probe into Al Falah University network
Srinagar, Nov 14: In a sharply worded statement following the Red Fort attack, BJP Jammu & Kashmir spokesman Altaf Thakur today launched a fierce assault on what he termed “white-collar terrorists,” accusing them of betraying the nation, disgracing the medical profession and defaming Kashmir on a national stage.
Thakur said the involvement of doctors in the conspiracy is “an unforgivable breach of trust,” arguing that individuals trained to save lives have instead chosen the path of destruction. “White-collar terrorists have betrayed the nation and defamed Kashmir. These radicalised professionals are a blot on the noble medical profession that has served humanity for centuries,” he said.
The BJP spokesman said such elements have deeply harmed the image of peace-loving Kashmiris who reject violence in all forms. “A few disgraced individuals cannot be allowed to tarnish the reputation of an entire community. Their actions have stained Kashmiriyat, which stands for compassion, coexistence and harmony,” he added.
Calling for the strictest possible action, Thakur urged security agencies to dismantle every layer of the network behind the attack. “Those who misuse their education and professional privilege to aid terrorism must face the harshest punishment. No leniency should be shown to white-collar terrorists,” he said.
Thakur also demanded a comprehensive investigation into Al Falah University, where some of the accused were reportedly associated. “It is time to unearth the full network operating at Al Falah University. The nation must know why Kashmiri doctors, already terminated for terror links, were given space and acceptance there. This deserves a sweeping probe from all angles,” he said.
Reiterating that Kashmir stands with the nation against all forms of terrorism, Thakur said the conspiracy has only strengthened the resolve to root out extremism. “These criminals do not represent Kashmir; they represent terror. And terror will be crushed with an iron fist,” he said.
Thakur concluded by urging the investigating agencies to move swiftly, stating that the country expects accountability and firm action. “Every person connected to this plot—however educated or influential—must be brought to justice,” he said.
