Over 600 people benefit from Two-Day Outreach Programme, Locals Appreciate CRPF’s Outreach Effort
PAMPORE, July 16: The 185 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised mega free medical camps at two different locations in the far-flung area of Khrew and Saffron Town Pampore areas of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The camps were held as part of the CRPF’s Civil Action Programme with the aim of providing quality medical care to the needy people and distributing free medicines to local residents and school children.
Local residents of these areas, expressed his gratitude to 185 Battalion CRPF, for organising the free medical camps in the Zantrag and Pampore areas.
CRPF Officials told Morning Kashmir that 185 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) conducted a day-long free medical camp under the banner of CRPF Madadgar at far-flung Zantrag village of Pampore on Wednesday.
A large crowd of residents eager to benefit from the health services gathered at the camp, which was inaugurated local elderly woman of the village in the presence of Commandant Yadvendra Singh Yadav, Commandant, Sunil Mishra, Second in Command, Mukesh Kumar, Assistant Commandant, Salim Bilal (GDMO) and other officers of 185 Bn CRPF were present along with medical team of PHC Zantrang and local dignitaries.
Approximately 300 people from the far-flung area participated in the camp. Following the check-ups, free medicines were distributed to 300 patients, including women and the elderly.
The school childrens and teachers at Government Primary School Zantrag also benefited from the medical camp and expressed their appreciation for the CRPF’s efforts.
The Commandant Yadvendra Singh Yadav also interacted with the students and staff members of Primary School Zantrag during the medical camp and distributed sweets and biscuits among the students.
Speaking to Morning Kashmir, a local resident of the far-flung Zantrag area, expressed his gratitude for the medical camp, highlighting its significant benefits for the local residents, including those who face transportation challenges in reaching hospitals. Free medicines provided at the camp were especially helpful for those living below the poverty line. “We are very grateful to 185 CRPF for organizing this medical camp here,” he said.
In Pampore, 185 Battalion of the Central Re-serve Police Force (CRPF) organised a free medical camp under the civic action programme at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Namblabal Pampore.
People in large including women, children and senior citizens of the area gathered in large numbers for the health camp and more than 300 people took benefit of the camp.
He said, that the camp was inaugurated by the local elderly woman in the presence of Commandant 185 Battalion Yadvendra Singh Yadav, Zile Singh (Shaurya Chakra) Assistant Commandant, Salim Bilal GDMO, Principal of School Nazir Ahmad Khan, Dr Rabia Naseem Moghal Lecturer of School and other officers in the premises of the school.
SDPO Pampore R.P Singh also present on the occasion.
The local people of the area showed great enthusiasm and appreciated the efforts and role of Commandant 185 battalion of CRPF and his team for creating a friendly environment in the area and developing good coordination among the forces and the public through their outreach programme and by organising such medical camp. They showed their happiness over the way 185 Battalion is assisting the locals and their positive approach to helping the surrounding localities and demanded such programmes frequently.
Speaking to Morning Kashmir, Commandant of the 185 Battalion, Yadvendra Singh Yadav, said that following the free medical camp organized yesterday by the 185 CRPF at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Pampore, another day long camp was held today in the far-flung area of Zantrag Khrew in the Pampore area. The aim of the camp was to provide relief to local residents facing health-related challenges.
The free medical camp, organized by the 185 Battalion CRPF, witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local population. Doctors from CRPF and the Primary Health Centre (PHC) conducted check-ups of large crowd and distributed free medicines to the attendees.
Commandant Yadav emphasized that, along with maintaining law and order, the CRPF is committed to supporting the local community by addressing their difficulties through such initiatives. He also expressed gratitude to all those who participated in the medical camp.
