Baramulla, 05 January 2026: In a continued drive against the drug menace, a police party from Police Station Pattan, led by HC Imtiyaz Ahmad, established a naka at Poshwani.During checking, one suspected person attempted to flee on spotting the police party; however, he was tactfully apprehended. The individual was identified as Bilal Ahmad Gojree, S/o Ghulam Qadir Gojree, R/o Gojree Mohalla, Pattan.
Upon personal search, a charas-like contraband substance weighing 33.2 grams was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, FIR No. 06/2026 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Pattan, and further investigation is underway.
