Baramulla, June 17, 2026: In a significant step towards combating drug abuse and trafficking, Baramulla Police destroyed seized narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances related to 17 NDPS cases at the authorized destruction facility of M/s Kashmir Health Care System, IGC Lassipora, Pulwama.
The disposal was carried out under the directions of the Hon’ble Special Court (NDPS), Baramulla, and in accordance with Section 52A of the NDPS Act and NDPS Rules, 2022. The process was supervised by the Drug Disposal Committee after completion of all legal formalities.
The destroyed contraband included heroin, charas, ganja, Lykarex-T and Blurex-T, seized in various NDPS cases across the district.
Baramulla Police remains committed to strict enforcement of the NDPS Act and continues its efforts to eliminate the drug menace from society.
