MSAGS SOPORE STUDENTS VISIT TO INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY, DEHRADUN

Srinagar, 19 Sep 2026: A group of 40 students of MSAGS Sopore, comprising 20 boys and 20 girls, accompanied by two teachers, visited the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun on 19 September 2026 as part of an educational and motivational visit under the aegis of Chinar Corps.

The visit to IMA provided the students with first hand exposure about the foundation pillars of military leadership and the ethos of the Indian Army. The students also got an opportunity to understand the values that form the bedrock of military leadership, to include character, discipline, integrity, courage and commitment to the assigned responsibilities. Aimed at motivating the students to aspire for excellence and consider the Defence Forces as a career option, while instilling a sense of deeper appreciation for the sacrifices being made by the men in uniform for the country. The event also provided students an opportunity to experience the cultural and educational heritage of Dehradun through local sightseeing tour, thereby making the journey a comprehensive learning experience.

Indian Army continues to undertake such initiatives to empower youth of Kashmir by broadening their horizons and nurturing confidence, responsibility and conviction.
