DLSA Kupwara commemorates ‘Constitution Day’

KUPWARA, NOVEMBER 27: Under the aegis of JK Legal Services Authority, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kupwara, in collaboration with District Judiciary Kupwara, commemorated Constitution Day on Tuesday, marking the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of India. 

The reading of the Preamble to the Constitution was lead by Shazia Tabasum, Chairperson, DLSA, (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Kupwara at Conference Hall Bar Association, Kupwara.

The Samvidhan Diwas is celebrated on 26 November every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India, highlighting and reaffirming its ideals and principles, with the intent to uphold, honour and acknowledge and contribution of our founding fathers.

 The event had the presence of  Khem Raj Sharma, Additional Sessions Judge PO (FTC) Kupwara, Moneer Ahmad Sub-judge/ Secretary, DLSA Kupwara, Munsiff/ JMIC Kupwara, Chief Administrative Officer, Kupwara, Legal Aid Defense Counsels, Panel Lawyers, Staff members of District Court & DLSA Kupwara, Para Legal Volunteers and other participants.

 Alongwith District Court Kupwara, the “Preamble” was also read at Court premises of Handwara, Sogam and Tangdhar administered by Ld. Judicial Officers, with participation of staff members, PLVs and other participants.
