in 1981. On the occasion of 44th International Peace Day, YGPT (Youth for Global Peace and
Transformation), the youth wing of MaitriBodh Parivaar, a socio spiritual organisation in collaboration
with ISCTH (International Spiritual Council for Transforming Humanity) took a step towards spreading
the message of peace, unity and global harmony.
This event themed #IamPEACE intended to bring together individuals, leaders, institutions and
communities to reflect on the importance of peace in today’s world, a great initiative that created a
movement for Global Peace in various cities across India, i.e. Delhi, Mumbai, Gujarat, Pune, Ludhiana,
Amritsar, Hyderabad and Nashik as well as internationally in Europe in countries such as Switzerland
(Grabenplatz, Winterthur), Austria (Gaussplatz, Vienna), and Italy (Piazza Duomo, Biella).
In each of the cities where the event was held, participants from all walks of life gathered to invoke and
reinforce the feeling of peace, contentment and inner calmness. The event started with the participants
forming a Human Chain symbolising the world coming together, bonded with Unity and Love as One World
One Family followed by a Peace Walk. The event concluded with a beautiful Prayer for Mother Earth –
conceived by Maitreya Dadashreeji, the Founder of YGPT (Youth for Global Peace and Transformation).
A total of 3000+ people across the globe participated in this event.
The event encouraged everyone to take meaningful action to embrace peace in their daily lives and work
towards a more harmonious world.
