Presents Coffee-Table Book on 100-Day NMJK
New Delhi, August 22: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir Manoj Sinha met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Saturday and apprised him of the prevailing situation in the Union Territory, along with key developments and various ongoing initiatives.
During the meeting, LG Sinha briefed the Prime Minister on the progress of the ‘Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir’ (NMJK) campaign, an extensive anti-drug initiative focused on creating awareness, preventing substance abuse and promoting rehabilitation across Jammu & Kashmir.
The Lieutenant Governor also presented Prime Minister Modi with a coffee-table book compiled by the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), J&K, highlighting the major achievements, activities and public outreach initiatives carried out during the 100-day NMJK campaign.
LG Sinha apprised the Prime Minister of the campaign’s achievements and the administration’s efforts to encourage greater public participation, community involvement and awareness in the fight against drug abuse.
The discussions also covered a range of issues concerning Jammu & Kashmir’s development, welfare and security. The Lieutenant Governor briefed the Prime Minister on various development programmes and government initiatives being implemented for the benefit of the people.
Particular emphasis was laid on strengthening the campaign against substance abuse through awareness programmes, preventive measures, rehabilitation initiatives and active participation of communities and the public.
The meeting comes as the J&K administration continues to intensify efforts to tackle the challenge of drug abuse and build a collective, community-driven movement towards a drug-free Jammu & Kashmir.
LG Sinha also shared updates on measures being undertaken to expand public engagement and strengthen the implementation of the Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir initiative across the Union Territory. The meeting underscored the continued coordination between the Jammu & Kashmir administration and the Union Government on matters related to the UT’s development, security, welfare and overall progress.
