Policeman shot dead by terrorists in Bla, 3rd incident in three days

SRINAGAR, OCT 31: A policeman was shot dead by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday. This is the third such incident in three days in the valley.

According to officials, Head Constable Ghulam Mohammad Dar was shot at by terrorists outside his residence at Kralpora in Pattan area of the district. Dar was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to injuries.

On Sunday afternoon, a police inspector was critically wounded after a terrorist shot at him in Srinagar’s Eidgah. The police inspector, Masroor Ahmad Wani, was playing cricket when the militant fired three shots at him.

The next day, a man from Uttar Pradesh, working as a labourer in South Kashmir’s Pulwama, was shot dead by suspected terrorists – the first such targeted killing in the Valley this year.
