Pulwama 21-09-2025:- The National Youth Peace Foundation, in collaboration with the District Administration Pulwama and Pulwama Police, observed the International Day of Peace with an impactful programme that brought together voices from diverse faiths and communities.
The event began with a two-minute silence in remembrance of the Pahalgam martyrs and victims of natural disasters. This was followed by interfaith addresses and cultural performances, highlighting the universal call for peace, harmony, and dialogue.
Speakers included M.A. Ahangar, Mohammad Talat, Ridakshi Ganjoo, Dr. Harbaksh Singh, and Simran Kour Raina, who all emphasized the message of peace in the light of their respective faiths and traditions.

Prominent stakeholders of Pulwama, including the Traders Federation Pulwama, President and General Secretary of the Bar Association Pulwama, and various civil society leaders, also participated.
SSP Pulwama, IPS PD Nitya, while addressing the gathering, underlined the importance of adopting peace in everyday life. She urged the audience to “shun violence, embrace dialogue, and work together for a peaceful and progressive society.”
The programme was widely appreciated as a collective expression of unity in diversity, reinforcing Pulwama’s commitment to peace, cultural harmony, and communal solidarity.
