Special Programme Held in Lethpora to Mark 150th Anniversary of Vande Mataram, Shaheedi Diwas

PAMPORE, March 23: The inaugural function of the Special Phase of Vande Mataram Celebrations was held with great reverence at the Martyrs’ Memorial of 185 Battalion CRPF at 185 Battalion Camp Lethpora, Pampore, to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram and Shaheedi Diwas.

The event was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner Awantipora, Mushtaq Ahmad Lone. Commanding Officer of 185 Battalion CRPF, ASP Awantipora, Tehsildar Pampore Malik Asif Ahmad and several other senior officers and officials were also present on the occasion.

The programme witnessed the participation of senior CRPF officers along with representatives from various civil departments, reflecting a strong spirit of unity and collective respect for the nation’s rich heritage and the supreme sacrifices of its martyrs.

On the occasion, heartfelt tributes were paid to the fallen CRPF personnel at the Martyrs’ Memorial. A solemn floral wreath-laying ceremony was conducted, during which officials and attendees offered homage to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

As part of the Ceremony participants also took a pledge reaffirming their commitment to safeguarding the nation’s security, integrity, and development. They resolved to work collectively towards strengthening peace, harmony, and progress in the region.

The programme concluded with a renewed sense of dedication among participants towards the ideals of patriotism, selfless service, and unwavering devotion to the nation.
