Two-Storey House, Cow Shed Damaged in Fire Incident at Jalshree, Baramulla

Baramulla, Feb 25: A two-storey residential house belonging to Fayaz Ahmad Dar and Mohammad Ashraf Dar, sons of late Ghulam Qadir Dar and residents of Jalshree, was damaged in fire incident reportedly caused by an electrical short circuit, locals said.

The blaze also damaged a cow shed on the premises, resulting in heavy loss of property. Locals rushed to the spot and joined efforts to contain the fire.

Teams from Jammu and Kashmir Fire and Emergency Services, locals, Baramulla Police and the Indian Army (46 RR) assisted in dousing the flames and preventing the fire from spreading further.

No casualties were reported; however, significant damage to household belongings has been recorded.

Authorities have taken note of the incident, and assessment of losses is underway.
Meanwhile, residents of Narathal Jalsheeri in Baramulla expressed gratitude to the Indian Army and Baramulla Police for their timely assistance and efforts in bringing the fire under control.
