Army Strengthens Civil-Military Bond with local population of Zadoora, Pulwama

In a continued effort to strengthen civil-military cooperation and reinforce the faith of medical support system in Zadoora and nearby areas of Pulwama, the Indian Army organised a Eye Cataract operation and special medical camp for members of the local communities in Pulwama district on 11 May 2026.

The event was conducted under the aegis of Army’s Victor Force, 5 Sector Rashtriya Rifles and 50RR unit and witnessed the participation of members of the local communities who are in need of medical support and Eye Cataract Operation.

During the medical checkup and interaction, Medical Offr and Company Commander briefed the participants on various health related issues and precautions for a healthy life. Detailed checkup by Army Doctor and local civil lady doctor was carried out and necessary medicines were given to them during this medical Camp.

The interaction further provided an opportunity for the elderly population and local community members to openly discuss their concerns and daily medical challenges faced during these times. The Company Commanders patiently heard their grievances and assured all possible assistance and support, reaffirming the Army’s commitment towards the welfare and helath safety of the local population.

Local population were screened for eye cataract operation and recommend them for further treatments that is planned at 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar.

Indian Army stands in support to the elderly people and needy patients at all times and ensured a great environment of harmony and healthy lifestyle to be adopted by the local communities.
