Leopard Enters House in Baramulla’s Old Town, Triggers Panic; Mother and Cubs Rescued Safely

Baramulla, April 23: Panic gripped the Al-Mustafa Colony area in Baramulla’s old town after a leopard, along with its three cubs, entered a residential house, causing alarm among residents.

According to Locals the leopard left its cubs inside the house and moved out, prompting an immediate search operation.

Soon after the incident was reported, teams from the Wildlife Department, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the Indian Army rushed to the spot and cordoned the entire area. A rescue operation was launched to tranquilize and safely capture the leopard.

The rescue operation later concluded successfully, with the Wildlife Department safely rescuing the leopard and its cubs. All animals have been taken into custody, and the situation is now under control. Officials said further necessary steps are being taken to release them safely back into the wild.
