Srinagar June 05: Ramzaan College of Nursing (RCON) organized its first-ever “One-Day Seminar on Research Conceptualization and Planning” today, aimed at fostering research skills among nursing students and professionals. The event, held on the college campus, was a resounding success, drawing participants from various nursing institutions.
The seminar was chaired by Prof. Jamsheeda Zaroo, the esteemed Principal of RCON, who also served as one of the key resource persons. Prof. Zaroo’s leadership and expertise significantly contributed to the seminar’s impactful sessions. The Organizing Secretary, Ms. Rimsha Rashid, Assistant Professor at RCON, meticulously coordinated the event, ensuring a smooth and enriching experience for all attendees.
The seminar featured a distinguished panel of resource persons who shared their extensive knowledge and insights on critical aspects of research. The speakers and their topics included Prof. Jamsheeda Zaroo (Principal, RCON) who delivered an enlightening talk on “Framing of Research Problem,” guiding participants on identifying and articulating pertinent research issues.
Rimsha Rashid (Assistant Professor, RCON):: Presented a comprehensive session on “Writing Research Objectives,” emphasizing the importance of clear, concise, and achievable research goals.
Zareefa Bano (Assistant Professor, MMINSR SKIMS) discussed “Developing a Conceptual and Theoretical Framework,” providing frameworks for structuring and grounding research studies.
Dr. Javaid Ahmad Mir (Faculty, GNC Baramulla) conducted an insightful lecture on the “Review of Literature,” highlighting methods for conducting thorough and effective literature reviews.
The seminar’s agenda was designed to equip participants with essential research skills, from the initial stages of problem identification to the final stages of literature review. Each session was followed by interactive discussions, allowing attendees to engage directly with the experts and deepen their understanding.
