Twenty blind students and Senior Citizens rescued from Vrindavan

Mathura, September 9: – Twenty blind students and Senior Citizens were rescued from Vrindavan, amid flood water conditions Yesterday , a senior official said.

Twenty students and senior citizens of Sri Vrindaban Andh Vidhyala samiti on prikrama marg were rescued as flood water reached premises of school cum old age home, ADM F&R Dr Pankaj Kumar Verma said .

All rescued were taken to Bhagwan Das ashram Vrindavan, he said. A medical check up was done for all rescued. Proper arrangements of food and bedding is also made, he added.

Swami Govindanand Maharaj, owner of the institution, asked the district administration for help, ADM said.

Dr Pankaj Kumar expected conditions to improve as Yamuna river has started to recede after almost a week
